Background: Brought up in the classical tradition of ballet as a child, Rebecca began teaching partner dancing in 1996 with Dance Spectrum after discovering Salsa during a stay in Mexico. Her interest piqued by the latin dances, she then started a competitive career in the International Latin style. Rebecca and her husband Lerey owned Portland Dancesport in Portland, OR before returning to San Jose.  She and Lerey currently compete in the Professional Rising Star International Latin division.
Specialties: Rebecca is certified by the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance) and instructs in all styles of dance. A great choice for beginning and advanced students alike, Rebecca excells in teaching the theory of dance in a simple and understandable way.  She enjoys creating competitive choreography for singles and couples and is an excellent coach for anyone interested in competition. Rebecca is known for her ability to adapt to each student’s unique needs.
