Performs dance exhibitions with a partner and teaches groups at private parties, banquets, fund-raisers and conventions. Four years of experience in performing and teaching all ballroom dance forms in a variety of settings many students with wide range of abilities and experiences. Skillful in teaching both the leader (male) and follower (female) dance skills. Well developed sense of the correct overall dance positions and movements as well as finely tuned ability to break down intricate dance movements into small teachable segments to enhance understanding and facilitate learning. Excellent ability to demonstrate movements from many years of success in dance competition. Unusual ability to discern errors and help implement corrections. Ability to interact warmly and humorously with students and demonstrate respect for individual differences in ability. Effective with all levels from beginners to advanced students. |
